Hamilton has officially taken over Orlando (and our newsfeeds), but if you missed your shot at tickets and are craving local music and performances, Downtown Orlando has some awesome options.

Whose Line is it Anyway.
In the heart of Downtown, Sak Comedy Lab is a live improv theatre that has been playing “Duel of Fools” every Friday and Saturday night for the last 23 years. They also offer classes for the inner Wayne Brady in all of us. Meanwhile on Church Street, Mad Cow Theatre is in its 22nd season of showcasing classic and contemporary plays and musicals. Their current show, Hand to God, ends February 10.

If music is your jam, The Beacham and The Social are sister venues focused on bringing national touring acts to Orlando (like Neko Case and Car Seat Headrest – both in the February lineup). A few blocks away on Magnolia, Celine offers live music as well as a weekly lineup of DJs like Brohug and Mason Maynard to name-drop a few.

Then in Thornton Park, The Abbey is a theater and event venue with an exciting and diverse lineup. Upcoming shows include learning how an episode of the popular YouTube channel SMG4 is made and an Old School Dance Party with Jae Johnson + Dj Caesar.

And for anyone looking to catch up on some of the upcoming Academy Award nominated flicks, Plaza Cinema and Cafe is showing Green Book and The Favourite.

Annnnddddd scene.
