Captain Marta Re-Signs with Orlando Pride
Announced today, the Orlando Pride and midfielder Marta have agreed to a new two-year contract, signing the free agent to the Pride through the 2026 season. Marta returns to the Pride after captaining Orlando to both the 2024 NWSL Shield and the 2024 NWSL Championship last season. In addition to leading Orlando to its first-ever professional league title, Marta was named a finalist for both NWSL Most Valuable Player and NWSL Midfielder of the Year, along with landing on both the 2024 NWSL Best XI First Team and the 2024 FIFPRO Women’s World XI. This morning, David Adelson announced that he will be stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Innovate Orlando, and welcomes the new CEO, Sheena Fowler. Throughout her career, Sheena has been a driving force in strengthening Orlando’s reputation as a global hub for technology and innovation. Under Sheena's leadership, Innovate Orlando will continue to unite and empower the tech community, catalyze innovation, and highlight the immense potential within Central Florida. DTOLive is celebrating a major milestone today, January 9th - its 500th performance! Since its launch in June 2024, the program has brought vibrant live music, unique performances, and unforgettable experiences to downtown Orlando, making our streets, plazas, and parks come alive with culture and creativity. Be a Part of Downtown Orlando's 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Parade
Join Downtown Orlando for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Parade on Saturday, January 18, from 10am to 1pm. Opportunities to support are available now by reserving a spot as a parade sponsor, parade vendor, or parade participant. The parade will kick off at the Downtown Orlando Courthouse and make its way to Lake Eola Park. Celebrate the legacy of Dr. King with vibrant floats, marching bands, and community groups by registering HERE.

FestN4 is Happening Now!
Orlando Fringe's winter festival, FestN4 is finally here! Take in a full weekend of shows happening now, January 9th, through Sunday, January 12th. Don't miss a night of laughter and unpredictability at the WTF(ringe) Cabaret, or bring the whole family for a special showing of The Swiss Family Robinson. All shows are 70 minutes or less and are $15 each with the one-time purchase of a $3 button.
CANVAS Cultural Plan Virtual Town Hall
CANVAS, the Cultural Plan for the City of Orlando and Orange County, will be hosting one of the last opportunities to provide feedback in it's current phase on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 6pm in a Virtual Town Hall. Attendance is free but registration is required.
Paws in the Park 2025
Join the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando for their annual Paws in the Park, the largest pet festival in the nation! This free and open-to-the-public event will be held at Lake Eola Park on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
