State of Downtown happening in October
Mayor Buddy Dyer will present highlights about Orlando’s urban core.
The annual State of Downtown address will occur on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Kia Center. Since 1982, the event has served as a fundraiser for the Downtown Orlando Partnership.
At last year’s presentation, Dyer focused on Project DTO 2.0, a comprehensive plan to make downtown more of a neighborhood, and public safety in the area. He also revealed plans to convert the Bob Carr Theater into a resource for the tech sector.
“We’re going to give this historic building new life by transforming it into an iconic physical town square for Orlando’s digital economy,” Dyer said in last year’s address.
The event begins at 3:30 p.m., and tickets are available at DOPOrlando.com/StateOfDowntown.
