Welcome The Drake Kitchen + Bar to Downtown
Yesterday evening, DOP officially welcomed The Drake Kitchen + Bar to downtown Orlando at their Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. Owners and chefs Heberto and Rona Segura have contributed to Orlando's vibrant food scene for years through their food truck, The Duck & Drake, on Edgewater Drive. After partnering with Roger and Theresa Owens, they've now opened the new brick-and-mortar restaurant on North Rosalind. The Drake offers innovative and internationally inspired dishes which evolve throughout the year according to the seasons. As they strive to serve delicious food, they feature local, regional ingredients produced with sustainable practices whenever possible. "The Canopy" Coming to Downtown Orlando
The City of Orlando introduced, "The Canopy," earlier this week, the latest iteration of the urban gathering space formerly known as the Under-i Project. The name, The Canopy, was inspired by the newly updated design which blends nature and technology, drawing inspiration from Orlando's beautiful canopy of trees, to create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable urban oasis. The new space will reflect the spirit of downtown Orlando, connecting its diverse neighborhoods and fostering a sense of belonging for all. As part of the new design, the city will also pilot a temporary rideshare zone and parking concept in the Pine Street and Central Boulevard area. The Canopy is projected to begin construction in early 2025 and is expected to take approximately 24 months to complete. DOP's Women's Business Forum Presented by Orlando Credit Union
Women's History Month begins next week! The Downtown Orlando Partnership is celebrating by partnering with Orlando Credit Union to present the Women's Business Forum, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Citrus Club.
