Save the date for Mayor Buddy Dyer's Neighborhood and Community Summit on Saturday, March 25, 2023.This event is an opportunity to bring together residents, community leaders, city staff and elected officials. The Summit is a great place to participate in a variety of workshops focused on building strong, vibrant communities and organizations, network with others, visit exhibitors and learn about city programs and services. The In-Between Series: Presented by CityArts
Join the Downtown Arts District for The In-Between Series presents: Tatsuya Nakatani on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 7:30-9:30pm. This event at CityArts highlights live creative music from different artists each month. Tatsuya Nakatani is an avant-garde percussionist, composer, and artist of sound. Active internationally since the 1990s, Nakatani has released over 80 recordings and tours extensively, performing over 150 concerts a year. His primary focus is his solo work and his large ensemble project, the Nakatani Gong Orchestra. He teaches master classes and lectures at universities and music conservatories around the world. Don't Miss March Madness at the Amway Center!
March Madness returns to Orlando on March 16 and 18, 2023 at the Amway Center! Eight teams will travel to Orlando to compete in the first and second rounds of the tournament, with four games being played on March 16 and two games being played on March 18. FAIRWINDS Foundation Announces Recipients of 2023 Grants
FAIRWINDS Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of FAIRWINDS Credit Union, announced the recipients of its 2023 grants at a breakfast event held at Full Sail Live attended by community leaders and twelve organizations embodying the Foundation’s core purpose of improving lives through financial well-being. Through its grants, FAIRWINDS Foundation supports Central Florida’s most economically vulnerable populations, including homeless and at-risk youth, victims of domestic violence, and minority business owners, among many others. Each of the selected organizations strives to foster financial understanding, stability and independence. Congratulations to DOP member, CareerSource Central Florida, for being among one of the recipients this year.
