Congratulations Orlando Fringe on Opening ArtSpace this Week!
Fringe ArtSpace celebrated their grand opening on Wednesday, January 11th, with Mayor Dyer's ribbon cutting, an open house, and two preview performances. The celebration is continuing the rest of the week with Fringe's Winter Mini-Fest! Tons of venues around town will be hosting amazing performances from the 12th-15th. Thursday at The Social is Rebelution frontman Eric Rachmany’s Acoustic Tour! Doors open at 7PM! Friday at Timucua Arts Foundation is Ulysses Quartet! Enjoy amazing live music from this award winning string quartet, starting at 7:30PM! Saturday night, guests can catch singer songwriter John Lee Wyatt performing at Will's Pub! Doors at 8PM. HCCMO Cafe with Members
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Metro Orlando is hosting Cafe with Members hosted by City of Orlando on Friday, January 20 from 8:30-10am at Orlando City Hall. Come to hear a conversation with Fire Chief and OPD officers about programs and services that the Orlando Fire Department and Orlando Police Department offer to residents and businesses, as well as ways for Hispanic residents to get involved with both agencies. Relentless Courage: Ukraine and the World at War
Orlando Museum of Art is hosting an opening reception fundraiser, Relentless Courage: Ukraine and the World at War, presented by tthe Ginsburg Family Foundation on Friday, January 20 from 6-9pm. Relentless Courage delivers a gripping, visual portfolio of images that remind us of our shared humanity, what is right, and what's at stake when independence and freedom come under attack. Join OMA for the opening reception fundraiser featuring an open bar, catering by The Beranda Eastern European Restaurant, and a performance by the Florida Folk Dance Council. Guests will also enjoy full museum and gallery access, live music, and complimentary valet parking. Proceeds from this event will be donated to Ukranian Charities. Click here to get tickets.
CityArts Opened a New Coffee Shop Downtown!
The Downtown Arts District has just opened new coffee shop, Javatino, in its CityArts gallery building at 39 S. Magnolia Avenue. Javatino offers a variety of coffee beverages, cold brew, and lite bites, with the profits being split 50/50 with Downtown Arts District. CityArts Cafe is open 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday to Sunday.

2023 Purple Pride 5k
Join the Orlando City SC for the 2023 Purple Pride 5k at Exploria Stadium on February 11th at 8am. Runners will start the race outside of Exploria Stadium, run through the redeveloped local community, and finish on the sideline of the field inside the stadium. Each registration includes a race t-shirt, commemorative finisher's medal, complimentary runner photos, and one ticket to the 2023 Orlando City Home Opener! The price for tickets increases on February 12th, so register today and save!
Orange County Library System is Hosting a Meet the Author!
The Orange County Library System invites you to meet New York Times bestselling writer, Roseanne A. Brown, author of several works published by Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney on January 27 at 10:30am. She has written numerous novels for young readers, including a Marvel Black Panther graphic novel entitled Shuri and T’Challa: Into the Heartlands and contributed to the Star Wars collection Stories of Jedi and Sith. Her debut young adult novel A Song of Wraiths and Ruin was an instant New York Times Bestseller and an Indie Bestseller. An immigrant from the West African nation of Ghana and a graduate of the University of Maryland, she completed the Jimenez-Porter Writers’ House program and was a 2017 Pitch Wars mentee and 2018 Pitch Wars mentor. Valencia Dance Theatre Presents 3 In Motion Concert
Valencia Dance Theatre, along with the Dr. Phillips High School Dance Magnet Program and professional modern company Yow Dance, will present 3 in Motion, a performance of modern dance at Valencia’s East Campus on January 27th at 8pm.
