The Orange County Library System is Celebrating its 100th Birthday this Weekend!
The Orange County Library System invites you to the library's 100 Year Celebration for a ribbon cutting and rededication ceremony on Saturday, January 7th, at 10:30am. In 2023, the Orange County Library System celebrates 100 years of service to the community. The library traces its history to the early 1920s, when the Sorosis Club of Orlando began a campaign to advocate for a taxpayer-funded public library to serve Orlando citizens. Their efforts were successful, and on November 8, 1923, the Albertson Public Library opened its doors. Over the years, that single library evolved to become what is today the Orange County Library System. Broadway's Wicked returns for an electrifying community giveback initiative at the Dr. Phillips Center in February! The initiative aims to impact more than 500 beneficiaries from every walk of life with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This interactive program celebrates diversity, fosters inclusivity, and encourages self-esteem supported by Wicked's active learning curriculum.
