Taco Kat Just Opened!
Team Market Group has just officially opened their new taqueria, Taco Kat, at 11 S. Court Ave. this week on the 18th. Taco Kat offers a variety of menu items such as tacos, quesadillas, Mexican drinks and desserts such as tres leches cake. These tacos are prepared using hand-made wheat flour tortillas and cooked crisp, in the style of the Mexican state of Sonora. The Sonoran taqueria and tequila lounge will also have a secret bar, for those in the mood for drinks and some fun. What may look like a cooler for drinks on the outside is actually an entryway to the bar. Congratulations Team Market Group!
Opera Orlando Presents The Magic Flute
Opera Orlando presents one of the greatest operas ever written, Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte), at the Dr. Phillips Center, on October 28th at 7pm, and the 30th at 2pm. Bring the family to this enchanting and whimsical fairy tale about love and light, sacrifice and darkness, and finding one’s place in the world. In this sumptuous, spectacular production, journey along with Prince Tamino as he navigates a treacherous brave new world in his quest of self-discovery. Creative City Project's Airplay presented by Orlando Health is going on now through October 30th. Explore immersive, inflatable art like you've never seen before at the Seneff Arts Plaza at the Dr. Phillips Center. Airplay includes interactive, inflatable art installations and a Luminarium from Architects of Air. Orlando Health is bringing gigantic inflatable anatomical sculptures, while Massey Services presents a garden maze of oversized flowers, mushrooms, bugs, lily pads, and more! Get your tickets here!
Project DTO 2.0 Action Plan
What's Up Downtown presents Project DTO 2.0 at Orlando City Hall on October 27th, from 8:15-10am. During this event, the city’s project champions will speak to the process to-date, where it is headed in the months to come, and share ways for you to engage in the process. While supplies last, attendees will also receive Scan To Plan project merch including necklaces, keychains, and stickers to unlock weekly engagement activities to help the community join in the planning journey.
