LOOKING FORWARD.
Dear DOP Partners and Friends,
As we continue to make our way through all the twists and turns placed on our paths, I want you to know that the Downtown Orlando Partnership remains dedicated to our mission: We continue to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the best possible future for Downtown Orlando. DOP continually seeks opportunities for our members to create sustainable partnerships in environments where they can thrive and build avenues that benefit the community and our entire region.
DOP understands that COVID-19 affects businesses in different ways, and we have taken steps to ensure that all members remain in good standing. DOP also extended many benefits beyond membership levels to provide the best support possible. Such benefits include making necessary adjustments to our model and initiating new strategies. Here are more details regarding the measures and actions we are taking:
- Extending communications benefits to all members
- Connecting members to public and private resources
- Advocating our members in recovery efforts
- Advocacy and support to the hospitality industry
- Adjusting DOP staff and responsibilities to sustain organizational capacity
- Partnering with other cities to create a statewide association of downtown leaders to increase thought leadership and extend influence
- Adjusting the DOP strategic plan to actively lead on behalf of our partners
- Initiating the redesign of the DOP website to better serve our members
Thank you for your sustained investment in the future of DOP and our Downtown City Beautiful. As members, the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and contribute is all around you. Through committee participation, attending or sponsoring virtual events, and small group opportunities you can stay engaged on various levels. Members have a direct line to team DOP, and we want to hear from you on how we can help create your best member experience. By following DOP social media channels and receiving weekly email publications, you stay connected to fellow DOP members and our Downtown community.
It is because of your continued support that we can achieve these organizational goals and support you, our partners. You are the reason that our partnership is stronger than ever. You are the reason we can withstand this unimaginable challenge. Together we can create a lasting and supportive community.
Stay well,
Josh Wyche
