OUC Receives Energy Innovator Award
OUC recently received the Energy Innovator Award from the American Public Power Association for their innovation of a "nanogrid." This trailblazing project by their Emerging Technologies team consists of a floating solar array, vehicle-to-grid EV charger, battery storage and hydrogen system. These clean energy assets could help OUC reach our 2050 Net Zero emissions goal.

If you’ve seen the #UnityMural at Interstruct’s new HQ at 814 West Church Street, you’ve seen activist Jennifer Desire who has seemingly stepped right off the wall to lend a hand to neighbors in need. Jenn thinks big and helps many, just as she did last Sunday for the Jennifer H. Desire and Interstruct, Inc. Grocery Giveaway event. Jenn and her enthusiastic team of volunteers shopped and organized pantry and perishable items for 100 families. The Interstruct team ensured a clean and safe space to work and joined the volunteers on Sunday. ⁠Watch for a new website (#814WestChurch) to connect the Parramore community to future events!

Nighttime Economy Manager Job Opening

The City of Orlando's Downtown Development Board/Community Redevelopment Agency (DDB/CRA) is seeking a Project Manager for the Nighttime Economy. Downtown Orlando's nighttime economy has unique and complex issues that require specialized and consistent focus in order to sustain a safe and vibrant social experience for residents and visitors. The DDB/CRA – Project Manager will coordinate planning, management, resource allocation, and coordination of the involvement of various city, county and state agencies, coordinated with hospitality, community, education and business development organizations. This position is responsible for local, national, and international research and implementation of best practices to enhance the nighttime economy in downtown Orlando. Applications will close at 5 pm on Friday, July 2.
