DOWNTOWN BUZZ 2021 Celebrating Women in Sports Luncheon The Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports) is proud to present 2021 Celebrating Women in Sports Luncheon. The 3rd annual event will be hosted on Tuesday, September 28 at Addition Financial Arena on UCF’s campus. The luncheon will recognize local honorees in two categories: Stacey Allaster (USTA), Trish Highland (Orange and Lake County Public Schools), and Kay Rawlins (Orlando City Foundation) will receive the Women in Sports Leadership Award, while Megan Rose (USTA) will receive the Rising Star Award.Registration and networking for the luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning promptly at noon. OBJ 2021 CEO's of the Year - Congratulations OUC This year, Orlando Business Journal has chosen 20 individuals to honor as the 2021 CEOs of the Year. This year's winners represent various industries, including the health care, finance and nonprofit sectors, which were among those experiencing the largest business impact in the last 18 months. Orlando Museum of Art Reopens Tomorrow The Orlando Museum of Art will open tomorrow, September 24, after being temporarily closed for an impromptu “summer break.” The museum closed to prepare for its upcoming exhibition installations and minor gallery renovations. Upcoming exhibitions include a showcase of work by Jean-Michel Basquiat in February 2022, photography by renowned Florida photographer Clyde Butcher, Cathedrals of Florida, and Luces y Sombras, a collection of photography from Mexico spanning from 1930. |
