Orlando Health Unveils Plans for New Institute
Orlando Health recently announced their plans to build a new Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Institute at their downtown campus. The nonprofit health system plans to serve patients across the Southeast through the two-story, 28,000-square-foot medical office building. Services offered there will include weight-loss surgery, endoscopic procedures, obesity medicine, surgical body contouring, and more. Construction is scheduled to start this summer with an opening date in 2026. Learn more here!
407 Connect Buses Coming to Downtown
Downtown Orlando is partnering with the Christian Service Center to address the increased unsheltered population in Central Florida by purchasing two buses that will be converted into a mobile sleeping unit for up to 40 individuals. The project, titled "407 Connect," will be paired with intensive case management, aiming to move 407 people into permanent housing over three years. Click here to learn more.
