FAIRWINDS Foundation Announces Recipients of 2025 Grants
FAIRWINDS Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of FAIRWINDS Credit Union, announced the recipients of its 2025 grants at a breakfast event attended by community leaders and sixteen organizations embodying the Foundation’s core purpose of improving lives through financial well-being. Through its grants, FAIRWINDS Foundation supports Central Florida’s most economically vulnerable populations, including homeless and at-risk youth, victims of domestic violence, veterans and minority business owners, among many others. Congratulations to DOP Members CareerSource Central Florida and Junior Achievement of Central Florida for being among FAIRWINDS Foundation's 2025 grant recipients!

10th Anniversary of Sculpture on the Lawn
The Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of "Sculpture on the Lawn", a program aiming to include public art in Orange County for the benefit and education of its citizens while enhancing the visual environment through a diversity of styles, content and artists. This year’s sculptures were selected by the Public Art Review Board of the Arts & Cultural Affairs Advisory Council, and there will be an opening celebration held tomorrow, January 17th, at 5:30pm in the Orange County Administration Center. Holocaust Center of Florida Exhibition Opening Reception
The Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida presents the opening of their new exhibit, Escape Denied: The Frank Family's Struggle for Freedom, TONIGHT, January 16th from 6:30-8:30pm. The exhibit reveals the Frank family's heartbreaking struggle to emigrate from Nazi-occupied Europe and the broader impact of immigration policies during that time. Learn more and RSVP now.
Volunteers Needed!
Pathlight HOME will be participating in this year's Point In Time (PIT) Count on January 28, 29, and 30th. The schedule consists of four shifts on each day, 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm, and 6pm-9pm. The PIT Count is a count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January. Each team will consist of a team leader that will be a Pathlight HOME Employee, two additional staff members and two volunteers. Sign up to volunteer here.
