Orlando Pride to Play in the 2024 NWSL Championship
Cheer on your hometown Orlando Pride as they take on the Washington Spirit in the 2024 NWSL Championship Game this Saturday, November 23rd at 8pm! The official Championship Watch Party will begin at 7:00pm one hour before kickoff at Sports & Social, and the game will stream live on CBS and Paramount+ at 8pm. GO PRIDE!

Orange County and the City of Orlando are proud to announce the development of a comprehensive cultural plan aimed at harnessing the power of the region's diverse cultural assets and creating a roadmap for the future. As an important member of our community, you are invited to complete the Community Survey and participate in a listening and discussion sessions for the CANVAS Cultural Plan for the City of Orlando and Orange County.
Camping Work Stadium and Kia Center to Receive Updates
This week, Orange County Commissioners unanimously approved the Tourist Development Tax Funding (TDT) with the City of Orlando providing necessary funding to update and enhance Camping World Stadium and Kia Center, two of the city's major economic engines, ensuring both venues remain competitive for years to come. Camping World Stadium, owned and operated by the City of Orlando, will receive $400 million to remove and rebuild the stadium's upper terrace decks, now nearly 35 years old and also expand the stadium's capacity up to 65,000 seats. Kia Center will receive $226 million over 10 years that will substantially improve many public-facing areas and address capital replacements of infrastructure.
United Arts to Launch their Collaborative Campaign!
United Arts of Central Florida is excited to announce the launch of their 32nd Annual Collaborative Campaign running from December 1, 2024 through April 30, 2025. This campaign is one of its kind and will infuse millions into our local arts but only with your help! New this year, campaign partner organizations who receive eligible donations from donors like you, will unlock an available matching pool of up to $1,250,000, boosting the impact of your donation. Pet Alliance Begins Construction on New Orlando Shelter
Last week, Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando began construction on their new Orlando Shelter! As the future home of the Kylie J. Capri Campus and Edward H. Hensley Adoption Center, this 25,000 sq ft facility will be a beacon for animal welfare in Central Florida. The jewel of the shelter will be the 10,000 sq ft veterinary space to care for ill or injured animals with disease-specific quarantine space for both dogs and cats and dedicated rooms for neonatal kittens. The buildout will take approximately 14 months with an estimated completion date of February 2026. Click here to learn more!

Artist Talk at City Hall Gallery
In partnership with the City of Orlando, Snap! Orlando presents a solo exhibition of multi-disciplinary artist Dan L Hess, at the Orlando City Hall Terrace Gallery. The exhibition, titled Earth's Last Picture, is curated by Patrick Kahn and Dan L Hess. Hess’ works have been exhibited around the world, from New York to Shanghai, China, and can be found in national and international private collections.
