Oxenfree Film & Motion's Very Local streaming series, Blind Kitchen Orlando, has been nominated for a Suncoast Regional Emmy® Award in the Lifestyle - Long Form Content category! Recognized by The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, this nomination is a testament to everyone involved in bringing the series to life. Oxenfree looks forward to celebrating the project and all of the incredible nominated work across our region at the 2024 Suncoast Emmy® Awards Gala on December 7, 2024. For the seventh consecutive year, UCF was recognized as the most innovative university in Florida, according to the U.S. News & World Report. POPUP Art Installation Outside City Hall
Have you seen the new art installation in front of City Hall? The City of Orlando's Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency has brought in POPUP; a fun music and light show with brightly-colored inflatables that dance! Next time you pass by, activate the installation by making noise into their speaker boxes. If you get all 5 POPUPs to activate at the same time, their performances will sync!

25th Annual Veterans Day Parade
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council will honor the courageous men and women of the armed forces at the 25th annual City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade in downtown Orlando this Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11am. This year's theme is "A Legacy of Loyalty and Service." The opening ceremony will take place at Orange Avenue near Central Boulevard. The parade will begin at Robinson Street and Orange Avenue, turning left on Central Boulevard, left on Rosalind Avenue and ending at Robinson Street. Find out where to park and how to get around downtown.
