Opening Reception and Artist Talk With Jim Hobart
Don't miss the exclusive meet-the-artist event at the Orlando City Hall Terrace Gallery TONIGHT, August 15, from 5-7:30pm. The Portrait Project, by photographer Jim Hobart, is a part-art, part-science experiment in self-perception and awareness. We've all been jarred by hearing a recording of our own voice. This project explores whether there is a visual equivalent phenomenon: is it possible that the way we see ourselves is significantly different from the way others see us? This exhibit is the result of the experiment. Jim Hobart is a professional portrait photographer and owner of Macbeth Studio. He's been making a living photographing people since 2006. The exhibit is available at Orlando City Hall now through September 1st.
