DOP's Chow on Church Was a Success!
On Tuesday, June 18, the Downtown Orlando Partnership hosted the inaugural Chow on Church, presented by the City of Orlando's Downtown Development Board, at INTER&Co Stadium. The event was a huge success, reigning in tons of support for downtown restaurants. Guests were able to enjoy bites from local favorites, network with other professionals and Orlando Pride Players, and score tickets to an upcoming Pride match, all while supporting Parramore's New Image Youth Center. The City of Orlando is now accepting applications to help form the Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee. If you are interested in learning more, or applying to serve on this committee, please visit pulseorlando.org/committee. Applications are available in English and Spanish and are due June 23, 2024. Mail-in applications must be postmarked by June 21, 2024.

TONIGHT: ArtCube Gallery Opening New "Virtuoso" Exhibit
In honor of African American Music Appreciation Month, artist Jordan Jones (JJ)'s installation, "Virtuoso," showcases a fusion of art, music, and culture. The exhibition opens at Interstruct's ArtCube Gallery TONIGHT, June 20, from 7-9pm. Volunteers Needed This Weekend!
Interstruct Inc. is also partnering the The Desire Foundation to host Office Hours x Second Harvest Food Bank, providing a range of fresh fruit, vegetables, dry foods, and dairy products, for our community. They are currently seeking volunteers on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, to help with food distribution, ID applications, food stamp application, job resumes, and more. Learn more and become a volunteer here.

 

Pride in our City
Show your Pride in our City, as Orlando Pride faces off the Utah Royals FC and celebrates those in the vibrant and strong LGBTQIA+ community of Orlando on Friday, June 21, at 8pm. The celebration will recognize the eight-year anniversary of the Pulse tragedy and honor the 49 Angels. Secure your tickets here!

 

Sabrina Carpenter to Perform at Orlando's Kia Center
Singer/songwriter Sabrina Carpenter today announced her upcoming North American headlining arena tour, The Short n’ Sweet Tour. The 29-date tour kicks off on Monday, September 23 in Columbus, OH and includes her debut performance at Orlando's Kia Center on Thursday, October 24. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 28 at 10am. Pre-sales for the tour begin on Monday, June 24, with the Cash App pre-sale at 10am followed by the Team Sabrina pre-sale on Tuesday, June 25 at 10am. Learn more and register HERE!

 

Kidney Screening & Wellness Expo
AdventHealth Training Center is partnering with OurLegacy to host the Kidney Screening & Wellness Expo: "Love Your Kidneys with All Your Heart,” on August 3, from 10am-2pm. This educational wellness expo and luncheon will teach attendees how to prioritize health through body movement and nutrition, provide cooking classes for healthier alternatives, and explain how diabetes, high blood pressure and more effect the kidneys. The National Kidney Foundation will be providing FREE non-invasive kidney screenings. No registration required.
