Synapse Orlando - the region’s premier innovation event - returns to the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts this Friday, October 21st. This immersive full-day experience will attract more than 1,000 attendees to engage through ample networking, workshops and panel discussions on a diverse range of topics with the most exciting startups, scale-ups, and innovation leaders in the region. 

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings will discuss Orlando’s resiliency and vision as more businesses and residents relocate to the region, and existing companies expand their presence.

University presidents Dr. Alexander Cartwright of UCF and Dr. Randy Avent of Florida Polytechnic University will share how they are developing the talent and partnerships to keep Orlando at the forefront of top tech talent.

Unity’s Vice President of Product, Digital Twins and AI, Timoni West (they/them), has been thinking about how humans interact with computers for decades. In this keynote, Timoni will share what we should know now about life in the metaverse, the positives, and possible pitfalls, and how soon might we all be living in the metaverse.
