Halloween at Discover Downtown: Monster Mask-erade
Join the Downtown Development Board on Friday, October 29 @11am for a fang-tastic time at Discover Downtown’s Monster Mask-erade! Discover downtown will have an outdoor trick-or-treat-spot, bingo, crafts, and a costume contest for adults, children, and pets. Valencia College Manufacturing Training Center Named Official MSSC Training Site for Instructors
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), the nation’s leading industry certification body for front-line technicians in advanced manufacturing, has selected Valencia College to serve as a MSSC Master Training Center. Valencia College is now authorized to offer training to instructors to deliver MSSC’s hands-on Certified Production Technician Plus (CPT+) program using the innovative “Skill Boss” training and testing device invented by Amatrol, the nation’s leading manufacturer of industrial technician training equipment. For more information on the new MSSC Master Training Center, contact Valencia College’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center at advmanufacturing@valenciacollege.edu or D.C. Thanksgiving With a Friend | Interstruct & The Unity Mural Project
As they did for the first time in 2020, Interstruct Design + Build is directing all of its holiday giving to the Unity Mural Project spearheaded by Jennifer H Desire and the Desire Foundation to provide hot meals and holiday gifts to families in need who live in Parramore. Their contribution will directly serve 500+ neighbors in need right out of the parking lot of their HQ at 814 W. Church Street. The first event is “Thanksgiving with a Friend” on Nov. 24, where volunteers will serve a hot meal to the homeless as well as offer clothing, haircuts and health screenings. Swedish House Mafia Announces First Tour in 10 Years
Global supergroup Swedish House Mafia, consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, have announced their Paradise Again World Tour 2022, the band's first proper run since 2012, on the heels of their 2022 Coachella headlining announcement. Long revered by fans for their bombastic live performances, the band's previous outing, One Last Tour, sold over 1,000,000 tickets. Produced by Live Nation, the 44-date international tour launches on Friday, July 29 in Miami and includes a stop at Orlando's Amway Center on Sunday, July 31, 2022.
