FAIRWINDS Announces Acquisition of Citizens Bank of Florida
FAIRWINDS recently announced its intent to acquire Citizens Bank of Florida, a community financial institution with $489 million in assets. The deal will result in 10.25% market share for FAIRWINDS in Seminole County. View the full announcement at fairwinds.org.

Barton Malow Builders Selected for Hospital Project
Barton Malow Builders was recently selected as the Construction Manager for the noteworthy BayCare South Florida Baptist Replacement Hospital project. The scope of the engagement includes full preconstruction services consisting of multiple cost estimates, scheduling/logistics planning, value engineering and constructability analysis. The project is structured with a fast-track approach to the design documents with four rolling GMP’s corresponding to the design documents as they are developed. The construction phase includes the full range of CM At-Risk services to deliver a high-quality project to BayCare on time and within budget. Formal partnering is being utilized to maximize cohesion and effectiveness among the entire project delivery team. Download the rendering here.

2021 Women's Voices Festival - Mad Cow Theatre
Mad Cow Theatre will be presenting their 2nd Annual Women’s Voices Play Festival, celebrating three new works by Women+ playwrights! Play readings happening August 27th & 28th with varied performance times. *Please note that these are staged readings of original works and not full-fledged productions. More information here.

Interstruct to Design Upscale Downtown Venue 
Interstruct was awarded the contract to design + build Parlay, an upscale sports-bar, nightclub hybrid in the former Finnhenry’s Irish bar on N. Orange Ave. They've been building downtown Orlando bars and restaurants since they began operating 20 years ago and excited to be working in one of Orlando’s most historic buildings again.

Valencia College Receives Grant to Provide Job-Training, GED Course 
Young adults who haven’t completed high school or earned a GED can now study for their high school diploma while also learning skills in fields such as construction and warehouse logistics that can help them find a job immediately upon graduation, thanks to a grant-funded program at Valencia College’s Osceola Campus. Interested students can apply by attending an orientation session.
